Weirsdos' Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
This year the Weirsdos are grateful that a collection of essays co-edited by Dr. Weirsdo has been accepted for publication. This one is extra-special, because it has a 50-page essay by Mrs. Weirsdo, as well as part of the intro and an article by Dr. Weirsdo. After Mrs. Weirsdo wrote her essay, Dr. Weirsdo sent it to his co-editor without Mrs. Weirsdo's name on it. The co-editor liked it and thought Mrs. Weirsdo was a man. This was two years ago or so, because the press that originally expressed an interest in the collection said they didn't want essays on literature AND philosophy after all, once it was submitted, so Dr. Weirsdo had to reconstitute the volume as only literary essays, which required soliciting more essays to fill out the book and finding a new publisher. Fortunately the University of Delaware Press thought the new version was "full of intellectual firepower" and "important ideas."
If you heard Dr. Weirsdo's renowned lecture on Platonic orgies or read his lurid AFRICAN FEMINIST FICTION AND INDIGENOUS VALUES, you'll want to reserve EMMANUEL LEVINAS AND NINETEENTH-CENTURY LITERATURE ASAP! Not to worry: we will alert you when it appears in the University of Delaware catalog, so you can pre-order!
In the meantime, we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

That's excellent!
Happy thanksgiving to all of you as well. Brittney was disappointed that PANSI won't be the turkey in the Thanksgiving pageant but she had opportunity to dis the skanks on Axe Man's show and earn some money for doing it, so she's happy enough.
Sounds great. We are interested in the phenomenology of feminine fiction and emotional logic.
WOW! seriously, that's just "wow" on every level! and i truly WILL look for that volume, and hope it appears in that catalog soon! (i can think of a few folks who will find it as interesting and/or entertaining as i will!)
Happy Thanksgiving, Hobbes. Hope the Weirsdos have a good one, too! ; ) xox
Happy Thanks Givings Day! Im eating lots of pumpkin pies!
I allways knew Mrs. Wiersdos was going to be a famiss man somedays. I had to write some esseys in shcol to can they be in the book? They allmost got a C!
Cheesemeister: Don't worry. She was still the turkey.
That is really great news! Congratulations on being published.
And happy thanksgiving too!
T&I: So is Axe Man.
Thanks, Neva. I think it will also be expensive, so you might prefer to peruse it at your local university library.
S. A. C. A. D. A. Boy: I'm sorry, but the only changes the press wanted were to the introduction, so I don't think they'd welcome essays. And were yours about Emmanuel Levinas and nineteenth-c. literature?
I just can't get over how fast you're growing up.
Congratulations. Hope it was a great feast, that the book does well and that Thanksgiving was the longest word hear at the Weirsdo house yesterday.
Hey, congrats! :)
Hope you had a happy turkey day.
Doug: Nah; it was a faculty gathering. "Administration" was used (pejoratively) several times. Thanks for the good wishes.
Thanks, STN. You too.
That's wonderful news just in time for a Happy Thanksgiving. Best to the Weirsdos.
Thanks, G. And you.
