Weirsdo Roundup IV: Hard Solo & Daisy Update

For more on Daisy's departure for Connecticut, go here.

And we haven't told you, but Hard Solo won Second Prize in the Moscow International Paganini Competition at the ripe old age of 16! At the moment, though, we can only reminisce about our brush with greatness, since Immigration has decided that his father (and teacher, for most of his life) doesn't have enough skills to earn a living here (!!!)

Bummer about Hard Solo's father not being able to live here. It sounds like Hard Solo is very talented! Congrats to him for his 2nd place!

And Daisy looks like she is having a grand time in her new surroundings. I'm glad to see she is enjoying her new home.

Wow, that's amazing for Hard Solo, but bittersweet about his dad and teacher. Life can really land a sucker punch every now and again.

Immigration can make some crazy decisions. They need to work on keeping the wrong element out and letting the right element in. But I'm not going to get into a heated political discussion. I try to avoid that.

Institutions are always skeptical about freelancers, but he and his wife COULD make a living, even with no English.
